Year 4 - Science

As part of our last science topic ‘Which wild animals and plants thrive in your locality?’, Year 4 have been learning about plants and animals in their natural environment. We also learned about the importance of food chains and the causes of animal extinction.

For our last science lesson, we learned about classification keys which distinguish between different types of animals and plants.
Year 4 were set the task to create their own classification keys for liquorice allsorts! The class worked well in partners to create a key to classify the various shaped and coloured sweets!
