4JI Detective Day

 4JI took part in a Detective Day, trying to solve the kidnapping of our beloved Coco the Koala! 

We had 4 main suspects, Mrs Burton, Mr Pawley, Mrs Blake and Miss Staples.

We conducted interviews, looked at the crime scene extensively and made our predictions.

We found out the guilty party was Miss Staples!

We wore detective costumes and had a great time! :)

3JI Newsround Reporters

As part of our PSHE work about into links around the world, we learnt about the Australian bush fires that are occurring at the moment. The children knew lots of facts already about this, and used these facts and Newsround clips to write their own news reports. They were fantastic! 

Year 2 - Santas on strike!

The children have been working really hard learn their lines, songs and actions for their nativity.

They also wore some fabulous costumes.

4JI's Acting Skills

Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine, 4JI decided to re-enact a play that they have been reading in Literacy recently, in order to get to know the characters better before they re-write the play from other characters perspectives.

Needless to say, they were extremely enthusiastic and had lots of fun too! 

Hansel and Gretel at the Royal Opera House

Yesterday year five and a few children from year six went to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to watch a performance of Hansel and Gretel. We felt very lucky to get the tickets and will always remember this special trip. 

4JI Class Assembly

Well done to 4JI on performing their assembly so well! I am so proud of how well you sang at the end of the assembly, and how quickly you learnt your lines. You were very good sports and embraced the 'Royal Wedding' theme so well. 

A big well done, I am so proud of you! 

Miss Irvine

Year 4 Class Invasions!

As part of our new topic learning on the "Romans", 4JI decided to show 4TS what an invasion looks like! We took over their classroom by sitting on their desks, moving them out of the chairs and causing quite a racket! 

The next day however, 4TS got their revenge, and it was worse than 4JI could have expected! They stole our books, took our coats and bags off their pegs and caused quite a scene! 

The children absolutely loved the rivalry and the first hand experience of an invasion!
