Nursery Class

Our first paintings in Nursery.  

   
                

We used mirrors to look at ourselves.   We wanted our paintings to look just like us.  

We looked carefully at the shape of our face and what we need to paint. 

We choose carefully the colours we thought our face, eyes, nose, mouth and hair was.

                

We talked about our paintings.  We counted how many eyes we had.  

We have made a display in Nursery of all of our friends.

Early Years - Havering Music School

Early Years enjoyed a visit from the Havering Music School this afternoon.

Nursery Science week - Float/sink

For science week, Nursery children enjoyed hunting for various items to test if they could float or sink. Then they sorted it into its respective float/sink categories.

Erin: 'When I pour the water in, it sink'
Lily: 'This looks light. It might float'
Louie: 'I think these will float'
Moses: 'I think this is going to drown'
Reiki: 'You can push it down'
Tomiwa: 'I'm making it sink because I put lots of water on it'.
Reuben: 'Miss Chin, I'm going to test if this floats.... It floats!'

Growing broad bean plants - Nursery

This half term, Nursery class has been learning about plants and parts of plants. After waiting patiently and caring for our broad beans plants for several weeks, they finally saw some progress! There were roots, stems and even leaves that have started to form! 

How exciting!

Many are now mini experts at caring for their plants.

Nursery Maths week

To end a lovely week of maths, Pre-nursery and Nursery children counted smarties to put on their biscuits as decoration.
