'What do religions teach us about the natural world and how we should care for it?'
For the first lesson of our R.E topic, year 4 explored what we mean by the words 'creation' and 'creator'. We made our own creation (paper fortune tellers) and discussed our thoughts and feelings about our creations.
The children thoroughly enjoyed making their creations and worked hard to create the best piece of work they could. The children also had the opportunity to test their fortune tellers on each other.
Miss Shah then ripped her creation!
We discussed how Miss Shah would be feeling as the creator.
In further lessons we will link our understanding of 'creations' and 'creator' to the world and religions.
