Yellow class - Introducing The Beebot

In computing today we were introduced to a Beebot. We discussed what might be inside a Beebot and how it might work. We thought about electrical items that can be found at home such a microwave, a fridge, an electric toothbrush, etc. We learnt that all of these devices can be controlled using buttons and switches just like a Beebot. We each had a turn to follow certain instructions from Miss Sacco to direct the Beebot along a certain path.

Yellow class - Technology hunt

In Yellow class we have been looking at technology around us. We discussed the different uses of items, where you might find them, and how they might be controlled. We spoke about the dangers of electricity and the importance of following safety rules. We had a look around school to spot the various uses of technology and even got to visit Mrs Blake's office!
