Year 1MS - Senses

In year 1, we have been learning about the 5 senses - sight, hear, smell, taste and touch.
Why do we need our senses?

The children were given a selection of clues and they had to use their senses to work out which item matched the description.

The children used their sense of smell to work out which cup smelt like mint.

The children used taste to find the apple (we realised we could use sight for this!!)

The children used their sense of touch to find something soft and fluffy.

The children used their sense of hearing to find a squeaky instrument.

The children also used their sense of sight to measure some footprints using a ruler.

We realised that our senses are very important otherwise we wouldn't be able to solve the clues!
