Remembrance Sunday
This year in 2018 we are marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the first World War. The war started on the 29th of July 1914 and lasted until November 11th 1918. During the war many people lost their lives on both sides of the conflict. Each year on the 11th of November we take time to remember and honour those whose lives were lost and all the people who live in war zones today.
This year at Suttons Primary School we have asked each child to make a poppy to add to wall of remembrance. The poppy being the symbol of remembrance adopted by the soldiers returning from the war in 1918. Please come and see our remembrance wall by the main hall.
