We're getting ready for our Sports Day! Are you coming?
Year 1 have been having lots of fun, developing their athletic skills in preparation for our upcoming Sports Day. Can you spot our Olympian?
Needlepoint Club
Needlepoint Club meets every Tuesday lunchtime in the Library.
We learn two stitches: tent stich and cross stich .
So far some children have completed their first projects on printed Aida fabric (see example above),
and are beginning their next one (see below), where they have to follow a pattern carefully.
Have a look at our great work!

Year 1 are becoming Measuring Masters
In Year 1 we have had lots of fun estimating and measuring the length and height of a variety of objects in the classroom and around our garden area. The children have also had experience of measuring the length of wiggly lines, the playground and also the Trim Trail using both non-standard and standard measurements. Can you estimate and measure the length of your garden in paces or metres?

Yr1 - I'm a celebrity in the making!!
In preparation for our filming in We are TV Chefs topic (Computing), we practiced our camera skills to see who could be our cameraperson's.
During this topic the children decided upon their sandwich recipe, recorded the instructions and then chose who would be a Chef, a Director and of course, the Cameraperson.
Who do you think, will be our next celebrity?
